January 2020 Partnership with Destiny Rescue

April 1, 2020

For the month of Janurary 2020, Imagery by Mikayla J is partnering with Destiny Rescue to raise awareness for children enslaved in human trafficking.

“Destiny Rescue is an internationally-recognized Christian non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing children trapped in exploitation and the sex trade. Our vision is to rescue the sexually exploited and enslaved, restore the abused, protect the vulnerable, empower the poor and be a voice for those who can’t speak up for themselves.”

Destiny Rescue’s Mission:

Destiny Rescue rescues children from red light districts, brothels and sexually abusive situations.

Global sex trafficking generates $99 yearly, that’s equal to $11 Million every hour.

January is human trafficking awareness month. With that being said, I have decided to make this month focused on raising funds for Destiny Rescue to equip them to do their ministry. For the month of January 2020, those who book with Imagery by Mikayla J (session can be scheduled for a later date) will have a portion of their session payment go towards Destiny Rescue

Here’s how it works:

Wedding Photography: $75

Wedding Videography: $50

Family Session: $25

Couple Session: $25

Senior Session: $25

Other: $20

Normal session prices are applied. When a session is booked, the above amount will be donated to Destiny Rescue on behalf of the client through Imagery by Mikayla J.

Though receiving monetary support is essential for Destiny Rescue to do what they do, I would personally love if you would consider partnering with me in prayer as well. Strength, courage, and precaution is very needed for these children as well as the rescuers. Children are in these situations now, may be in the future, and have been in the past. Specific prayer for protection and healing is a precious gift to each an every one of them.

Fundraising for Destiny Rescue

In 2015, I had the privilege to join the Indiana Wesleyan University Women’s Basketball Team. In 2016 is when my connection to Destiny Rescue began. Our team sought out to raise money from our school, friends and family so that we would have the chance to set a child free from the terrifying bondage of human trafficking.

**Donations of any amount can be submitted online at https://go.destinyrescue.org/fundraiser/2555629 or by check to Destiny Rescue.

**I would also love if you would consider donating to the IWU Women’s Basketball fundraiser.

Tamanna’s Story | Breaking the Cycle

Eight-year-old Tamanna was playing in the fields near her home, but she wasn’t safe at all. She was born into poverty and subjected to a life of abuse, until the cycle was broken. You can break this cycle for the next child Uma was considered a lower-class, servile citizen.
